Give Help
Harvest 2026
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in the Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – In the past few years Bath, Keynsham & Somer Valley Foodbank has gratefully received donations from individuals, churches and schools around harvest time. Without your goodwill, our Foodbank would really struggle to help support people facing a crisis within the Bath, Keynsham, Saltford and Somer Valley communities.
Can you help us with food donations?
Is your school, church or business considering doing a Harvest food collection this autumn? Maybe you could arrange a food collection amongst your neighbours, sports or hobby group.
We really do appreciate the generosity of our community every Harvest. The donations that come in each autumn are necessary towards ensuring we can meet the need through the colder months. The demand on our service continues and we have seen a decrease in donations over recent months so your participation in our Harvest collection would be much appreciated.
Is your Church or School doing a harvest collection for us?
Each Church and School in Bath, Keynsham, Saltford and Somer Valley who are wishing to collect for Bath, Keynsham & Somer Valley Foodbank has been issued their own specific list of needed items. If you have been given one of these lists and are intending to donate, we kindly ask that you donate items from your allocated list to ensure our warehouse does not experience significant shortages of items. The list for schools and churches are below. We offer a more colourful A4 poster and a black and white A4 poster for everyone’s printing needs. We have also included a smaller image that you can download onto your phone to use on WhatsApp, Messenger or another communication app.
If you are a business or an individual, please just choose one of the lists below.

The Need
From April 2025 until March 2026 this year we supported 9250 people (including 3000 children) with food, a number we expect to increase as we go into the winter months. In the same time period, we saw on average 83 first-time Foodbank referrals each month.
Best practices for doing a food drive
When donating please be aware we are only able to accept tinned or packet items and all items must be in date.
Then communicate to the people you want to encourage to donate and include the food list we have provided.
Set a deadline for donations. Once the deadline you determine arrives, you can arrange for the donations to be delivered or collected.
Please contact us at [email protected] to arrange a collection or a delivery time for your donations.
Very important
If possible, it would be preferable if you could arrange an appointment with us to bring your donations to our warehouse.
To drop off a collection at the Bath Warehouse, please do so on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm. The address is Unit 9, Brassmill Enterprise Centre, BA1 3JN (What3Words – monkey depend volunteered).
If you have a substantial donation, or are unable to drop it off, our volunteer van team can pick up your collection by arrangement. Please contact us.
When preparing donations to the Foodbank we ask please do not use plastic boxes or trays or single use plastic bags. We can, however, re-use cardboard boxes or bags-for-life.
Other ways to donate
Throughout the year we are grateful for donations via the supermarket collection points and we encourage all to download the Bank the Food app so you can see an up-to-date list of our most needed items. Go to your app store and download the Bank the Food app and register with Bath, Keynsham & Somer Valley Foodbank. This is a helpful tool as you can see what to buy before you shop. No guess work required.
You can also use Give Today to donate food online. We have our regularly needed items on the site. You can purchase online, and the items will be delivered directly to our warehouse. Click here to go to our Give Today website.
If people would like to make a financial donation instead then this can be done by clicking the orange ‘Donate’ button above. You can also contact us for alternative ways to donate. Please contact Emma at [email protected].
